Christmas Holiday Home Tour 2024

Sharing our home for the holiday season! I love to decorate for Christmas and start end of October and just finished it all today, I often get asked why I start so early, because it takes awhile and I truly want to enjoy myself along the way. I plan on updating this post with a few more photos, I love having them here to share and mostly for our own family memories.

Holiday Entry-

I was excited to add Christmas decor to our front entry after hanging striped wallpaper above the stairs. I had a certain look I was going for this year, it helped that I had some photo inspiration to know I wanted an overall whimsical Christmas vibe this year! Holiday Family Room-

Three years decorating this room for Christmas, and this year is my favorite so far!!! It is the most colorful it has ever been and I adore it.

Makes me want to host all the parties now that is all finished!

I love wreaths hanging in each window. I just use a tiny nail in the top of the window trim and hang with ribbon.

We are loving our pink sectional more as we host and spend time here. Also swivel chairs that can easily turn to the fire or to watch a Christmas movie.

Our Christmas tree isn’t available anymore, I do love how slim it is in this space and the way the branches droop like there is real snow on them.

Rifle Paper sent me that ornament with a printed photo from my Instagram, such a thoughtful gift!

My inspiration for this room was this bow art (nesting15 for 15% off). I think it is so pretty all year, it will be staying here for awhile. Also I can’t quit the maximalist garland!

Sweet wood nativity we have had for years, a favorite piece to bring out every Christmas season.

We just added wallpaper behind the piano, love the extra pattern! Who knows if I will tire of it, but for now we are enjoying it. Also if you missed it, we painted our piano, and the pop of color was just what it needed here.

A bowl of vintage ornaments in a gorgeous bowl is a simplest, yet beautiful way to display a collection of ornaments.

And this is where we have our TV, that we continued the wallpaper over to this wall and the Bancha green paint.

Kitchen-

Added wreaths and the same ribbon that is on our Christmas tree to the back of the barstools. Little pop of color just makes me so happy!

The place where all the sweets are made! I added a few more gingerbread houses to our collection this year, and plan on adding more next year. And these star lights are so pretty, and really long, so I grouped them in the bowls at the top of each shelf.

Lola’s Bedroom-

Lola’s bedroom is the first to get decorated, it was that way last year too! Inspiration comes easiest for her room, I think because it is colorful and Christmas decor seems to naturally mix in. Ella’s Bedroom-

Ella’s bedroom just got a Christmas tree last week because we were in the middle of wallpapering her bedroom and hanging all her fun posters back up.

The Christmas tree was extra fun to decorate with all colorful ribbon and actually cut up plaid pajamas the shrunk, perfect ribbon!

This year we added her collection of Christmas trees to her window, and ended up adding them to Lola’s window so it matched from the outside view. Cozy spot to sit and watch the snow fall!

Finn’s Bedroom-

Happy boy snuggled up in his cozy bed with his sweet pup, the twinkle of lights make it feel so cozy. For Finn’s room I wanted to do a mixture of plaid’s!

Finn has always had a Christmas tree in his room with his collection of felt animal ornaments. Something about the glow of the Christmas tree at night feels so magical and cozy!

Basement Family Room-

We are still enjoying our oversized gold sectional in here, prefect place to play games, or cozy to watch a Christmas movie.

Sleepover Room-

We love our guest room that quickly becomes a sleepover room! We added some red quilts and colorful trees in the window. See how we created a Christmas Sleepover room HERE.

I recently found these affordable fold away beds, that allow you to create a guest room anywhere and a really fun sleepover space! I like that they are almost the same height as a regular bed.

Favorite Christmas Movies-

We have our favorites but it’s so fun to watch new shows too. I asked on instagram what everyone’s favorites are and we put a list together!
